Praying for sure… May the peace of God be your comfort and may the grace of his healing touch manifest the miracle of restoration for your voice and vocal cords. May you receive and glean all that God has for you during the journey you make in this season of life. May the comfort and protection of Christ be upon and over your entire household. In the name of the Triune God of Glory, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. amen.

First off, I have to say that you are amazing! You’re strength through all of this has been incredible, and so inspiring! I am in tears every time I read (or watch) your updates about your voice. You have an amazing talent, and continue to touch so many people even without saying a single word. You are such an encouragement Phil! I will continue to pray for your complete healing, and will be thinking of you on Monday. May God Bless you always!

Phil it is God’s will that you be well. Take a look at Isaiah 53:5. Claim it today for yourself! You have a lot more music to do for Him. Praying for you my brother! Jesus is Lord!

Thanks for the update, Phil. Your music is such a blessing to us here in South Africa. However, the testimony of what the Lord is doing in your life through this tough time is even more a blessing. We will be praying for you on Monday and I know the Lord will work all of this for your good and His glory.

Phil, you are amazing vessel for God’s heart! Thank you so much for obeying His calling on your life by sharing His heart through song. Your songs have been such an encouragement to me and given me hope when I needed it. Your songs make me want to love God more. Thank you for your ministry. I am praying for you and will be praying during your surgery on Monday. I will also be praying for the 3 sweet girls in your life.

Praying for you and the fam. Lord I pray that you give the knowledge that the doctors need in the operating room. I pray for healing and quick recovery upon Phil’s vocals. Lord you give and take away and may your will be done upon his life. His life is in your hands. Amen and God Bless.

Oh and Phil if you remember Jeff McCullough I now work for him with his new ministry called JumpStart3. Check out our music on JumpStart3.com. He told me about the time when he first met you and you recorded music with him.

I have never stopped praying for you bro! I constantly have conversations with God about how wonderful it is to have worship leaders and role models like you here on earth. I know that regardless of the turnout, He will continue to use such a man as you with extraordinary abilities to carry out His will. I’m blessed by you Phil! Praying and believing for an amazing revelation to fall from above! “My body might be dying but I’ll always be alive!”

Thanks for the update, keeping you and your family in prayer. I appreciate how you trust God to be able to do the “impossible”, but that you are being submissive to His will. His grace is sufficient for you; His strength is powerful in your weakness.

I know you came from Calvary Chapel, and the solid teaching from the Bible is reflected in your lyrics and your blogs. Stay strong in the Lord and His word.

Phil, thank you so much for sharing!

I am currently a piano major at college, and about 6 months ago I developed a nasty case on tendonitis. It was hard just to get through life, yet alone my school work. Thankfully, I had understanding professors who helped me out.

Yet, through the time, I can relate so strongly to the previous things you have written. When God took away my ability to play music, I realized how strongly I had tied everything I am to my talent. Yet, that’s all that it is! A gift. Without that gift, despite what I thought, I am still the same person.

God has taught me so much through this tough journey. My hand is just starting to get better as I am resting it. I appreciate you sharing your journey. It gave me hope and comfort to know that I was not the only ‘injured’ musician, and it put words to all the thought and feelings I had been experiencing.

God bless you, and I will be praying for your surgery and recovery! Hang in there. You are an inspiration and hope to me.

“Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” -2 Corinthians 12:7-10

We know that all things work together for Good, to those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
You will get through this, Phil, and many will see and fear the Lord because of your testimony. Stay strong!
    God bless you!

    Hey Phil,
Not knowing what has been going on with you until today, the last month or so I have been praying a lot for you — you have been on my mind constantly (and not just because I listen to you all day). What the Holy Spirit has prompted me to pray this past month is this: that the anointing you have received to minister in song and worship would be increased to you a thousand fold and that fresh anointing would rain down on you to continue bringing Light into dark places. I have been praying that you would hear new Words from the throne room such as you have never heard before. One particular morning about two weeks ago as I prayed for you, I “saw” our glorious Lord pouring a fresh anointing out on you–such as you have never known. And at the same time, I prayed against the “difficulties” in your life — not knowing what they were until today. The Lord directed me to your website today — how thankful I am that He did. I will continue to fast and pray for you…hurry back to Solid Rock in Ptown. “It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” Luke 1:17, “For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1: 37 God. Bless. You!

” I will see Him in the darkness…..I will feel Him in the gloom…..tho His special touch seems distant…..sense His presence in the room……I will trust Him without answers….I will trust and wait and rest…..knowing that His way is sovereign…..and His way is always best.” Praying…..

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

He has your future in his hands and he’s not done with you. He wants us to experience complete and total trust so WE know a depth of love for Him that we couldn’t experience, if we hadn’t been through some pretty terrifying storms. When you’re through this, you’ll truly know what it feels like to be carried in His loving arms and set down to walk again – - – with greater perspective than you had before. I anticipate more amazing songs from this storm . . . and an even greater ministry than you had before.

Phil, I pray first and foremost that God’s will is done for you, I pray for God to enhance the wisdom and skill of the doctors, nurses, and anesthesiology staff that will be working with you today – that they will see the unseen and that it is repaired, I pray for a quick and complete recovery for you and that it is God’s Will that your vocal chords are restored. I pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen!

Phil, thank you so much for the encouragement. I feel like I can relate to you in so many ways right now, although mine is more temporary. I had a tonsillectomy almost two weeks ago and don’t have a voice at all still. It has been 2 weeks of frustrating silence and it’s not really getting any better yet. What I am learning, is that even in the silence He is good, as hard as that is to truly believe in the moment, I’m learning it is so true. Even when we cannot speak and even if he chooses not to speak to us, He is still good. For me, He didn’t speak to me much during this time of silence which I was expecting, but He did comfort me and show me how much he cared about me. I was so encouraged to read your posts during my time of silence right now. Thank you for allowing the Lord to use you even in your silence. BTW, loved your idea of using the app to talk to you…I’m going to go try to find that right now. You are being prayed over right now.

Phil, may this be an encouraging and humorous message for you…

I am a “tab maniac,” meaning that I have 15 tabs open in my web browser. Moments before this, I had 25-30 tabs open. I use tabs to organize and remind me of websites. I was going through my tabs to close and clean up things, when I came to your tab.

I had not viewed your video yet. I opened it up and viewed the video right during your surgery time, and I offered up a prayer for you. I really hope all goes well.
